NEW YORK (Daddyhood.net)

“When you have a baby, sleep is not an option. You can’t sleep. Even on vacation, you wake up at 6:30 a.m.,” Jimmy Fallon tells PEOPLE magazine.

Lots of dads might love that 6:30am wake up call… but hey it’s all relative.

Fallon’s career has skyrocketed. He took over for Jay Leno, who was number one in late night, and improved on the ratings by 26 percent!

Now at 37, Fallon is a new dad and appears with his daughter on the cover of PEOPLE wearing matching suits.

Winnie Rose was delivered via surrogate. He and his wife Nancy, 10 years his senior, struggled with infertility.

“This has been the craziest year of my life,” Fallon tells PEOPLE. “But being a father is the most exciting, amazing thing that ever happened to me. And everything’s going well on the show. My life has never been this cool.”

Fallon says he’ll be celebrating Father’s Day at Disney World. And tells the magazine that he could not be happier being a dad.

“I didn’t think it was going to be this fun,” he said. “But everything just gets heightened when you have a baby. The volume gets turned up on life. I never knew I could be this happy, and that’s the truth.”

The latest issue of PEOPLE is on newsstands now.
