New Apple ad focuses on moms and dads (VIDEO)

Reflects dad's more hands-on role in families

The new Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) ad that just began airing touts the iPhone and how it helps parents teach, interact and connect with their children through various apps.

The ad prominently features both “moms” and “dads.”

Using mom and dad, the ad focuses on how Apple’s iOS platform makes it possible for hardware and software can come together to enhance everyday activities.

What’s cool is that the scenes about parenthood are not just mom-focused, but also dad-centric.

“It’s great to see dads getting starring roles in ads,” says Glenn Selig, publisher of Daddyhood. “Dads are portrayed as teaming with mom to get things done. That’s a positive image to send.”
