fans have been voicing their concerns over the club's lack of transfer activity ahead of the pre-season tour of USA.
Gunners supporters were disappointed to see just one new signing join Unai Emery's squad on the Emirates flight from Stansted Airport on Thursday morning.
The North London
club made Brazilian teenager Gabriel Martinelli their first signing of the summer, with the Ituano forward signing a long-term contract earlier this month.
One dejected fan said: 'same old useless team', while many others implored the club to 'sign someone'.
Another supporter tweeted: 'Not close to signing a player, captain wants to leave, deadwood still at the club. It's over before it's even begun'.
Arsenal begin their International Champions Cup campaign against Bayern Munich in Los Angeles on July 17, before facing AS Roma in North Carolina on July 20.
The third and final match will be played against Real Madrid at FedExField in Washington DC on July 23.
Plenty of academy products were on board the flight to America, but Arsenal will be without club captain Laurent Koscielny who refused to travel.
The Gunners have begun disciplinary proceeding against the 33 year-old who is trying to force a move back to his native France.
Koscielny, who has a year remaining on his Arsenal contract, is expected to be handed a hefty fine.
It is understood will be stripped of captaincy and will be made to train with Arsenal's under-23s after his decision to turn his back on his employers.
An Arsenal statement confirmed: 'Laurent Koscielny has refused to travel to the US for our pre-season tour.
'We are disappointed by Laurent's actions, which are against our clear instructions.
'We hope to resolve this matter and will not be providing any further comment at this time.'
