Harry Redknapp insists Derby manager Frank Lampard should take the Chelsea
job as he may never get the chance again.
It has been heavily mooted that Lampard, who is Redknapp's nephew, will become the next Chelsea manager this summer, with Juventus
target Maurizio Sarri expected to leave Stamford Bridge.
Lampard would be a hugely popular choice to take over from Sarri, who divided opinion during his debut season in England, and Redknapp has backed the former Chelsea midfielder to succeed.
'Now's the time,' he told The Sun
. 'If Frank gets offered it, it's all about timing. I know you can turn it down but it may never come again.
'He's ready, he knows the game, he's a very clever guy, a bright boy. It's all about players, good players.
'He has this determination to be successful, nothing is going to stop him. He is very single-minded and he'll work all day and night to achieve that.'
