Liverpool land in the United States for their pre-season tour

wasted no time getting down to training after arriving in Indiana, United States as they step up their pre-season preparations across the Atlantic.
Hour after touching down stateside, their first-team stars were out on the training pitch running through a series of drills.
They were led by captain Jordan Henderson, who got stuck in during ball work ahead of several friendlies in the United States.
The Reds will play three matches while Stateside, starting off against Borussia Dortmund
at Notre Dame Stadium, Indiana.
From there they will travel to Fenway Park in Boston for a match against Sevilla and then follow that up with Sporting Lisbon at Yankee Stadium in New York.
Liverpool Women are also on the tour and will play Cleveland Ambassadors at Notre Dame University and New York Athletic at Boston University.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp posed alongside captain Jordan Henderson, as well as Liverpool Women boss Vicky Jepson and captain Sophie Bradley-Auckland as they stepped off the plane.
Star defender Virgil van Dijk wasn't far behind, alongside defensive partner Joe Gomez, although there are some notable absentees.
A number of Liverpool's top players have been given extended time off following their international duty in the Copa America or the Africa Cup of Nations.
For example, Liverpool have called on 35-year-old Andy Lonergan for the tour, with first-choice keeper Alisson on holiday and young backups injured.
The US tour will give other youngsters a chance to shine, including the likes of Rhian Brewster, who is much liked by Klopp.
Liverpool have started off the pre-season well so far, scoring a 6-0 win over Tranmere Rovers on July 11 followed by a 3-1 win over Bradford on July 14.
After returning from the US, they'll wrap up their long list of pre-season matches with games against Napoli, Lyon and Manchester City in the Community Shield.
They will also face Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup during the first week of the Premier League season.
