Newcastle forward Ayoze Perez reveals desire to return to Spain

Ayoze Perez's Newcastle future has been thrown into doubt as he admits he would like to return to La Liga

The Magpies signed the 25-year-old in 2014 from Spanish second division side Tenerife for £1.5million.
Now Perez is hoping to be called up to the Spanish national squad and one day, a return to his home country.

'I am very grateful to Newcastle, but it is obvious that someday I would like to come back and play in La Liga, ' Perez told Marca
'I am ready and with tremendous hope of being able to see myself in a list of Spain. It would be incredible for me. I, in any case, keep fighting. I hope it happens.'
Ex-Liverpool and Spain forward Luis Garcia believes Perez has what it takes to play for Spain.
'It's a difficult one at the top because we have been struggling having different strikers, with, Rodrigo, Costa and Morata being the ones [playing in those positions] ' Garcia told Sky Sports
'But he [Perez] is doing a great job and he definitely deserves a try because he has been amazing. It's not easy on a team that has been on the re-build and doesn't have any help.'
Perez scored twice to help Newcastle pull off a stunning comeback against Everton last weekend.
