Mesut Ozil believes Arsenal
are lucky to have the crop of youngsters currently coming through the ranks at the club.
Head coach Unai Emery included a number of Gunners prospects in his 29-man party for the club's tour of the USA and has given them the chance to shine.
After naming a youthful team for the 3-0 opening win over Colorado Rapids on Monday, Emery showed just how much faith he has in his kids by chucking them on against Bayern Munich
Midfielder Joe Willock started against the German giants and Emery handed valuable experience to Reiss Nelson, Robbie Burton, Bukayo Saka, Tyreece John-Jules and Eddie Nketiah, turning to them when the glamour friendly was in the balance.
Nketiah underlined his promise by giving Bayern's defence a thorough examination and scored the equaliser after being set up by John-Jules.
And Arsenal's World Cup winner Ozil has been impressed by the kids coming through the club's ranks.
He said: 'Right now we have a lot of young players and yesterday Joe Willock plays with us, he really showed his quality and Eddie, everyone knows Eddie in the team.
'He is fighting hard and wants to help us and Reiss. He had a lot of experience in Germany (from his season-long loan at Hoffenheim).
'He played very well during the season over there so those people, those kind of players, especially young players will help us a lot.
'Also don't forget Emile Smith-Rowe. He is a little bit injured so he is coming back, we know his quality as well. At Arsenal I think we are lucky to have those young players.'
