Ralph Hasenhuttl would not reveal his first-choice goalkeeper as he weighs up Alex McCarthy and Angus Gunn.
No player has played in all of the Austrian's seven games in charge, with England international McCarthy missing his first Premier League
game for over a year at Chelsea.
Gunn, a £12million signing from Manchester City in July, made his Premier League debut at Stamford Bridge in a goalless draw.
It was the first clean sheet under Hasenhuttl, and Southampton's fifth this season.
'I have decided but I won't tell you today,' Hasenhuttl teased ahead of Saturday's trip to Leicester.
It has been a clean slate under the Austrian, who feels the best way to scrutinise a player is to see them play.
With injuries and suspensions to the likes of Ryan Bertrand, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Danny Ings, he is also not afraid to field academy products.
Callum Slattery and Marcus Barnes played in the 2-2 draw FA Cup third round draw at Derby, while Alfie Jones and Josh Sims have been recalled from loan spells at St Mirren and Reading, respectively.
'It is interesting. Every time I come to lunch a new one is standing in front of me and it is,"Hello, nice to meet you", and I haven't seen them before.
'Simsy has trained three times with us and he has some qualities that can be interesting for us, so let's have a look.'
