Victim's father investigated over paedophile's death

The father of a girl abused by a former pastor is being investigated over the paedophile's death.
Italian police are attempting to establish whether Giuseppe Matarazzo, who was gunned down in July last year just weeks after his release from jail, was slain in a contract killing.
Matarazzo was jailed for 11 years over the sexual abuse of two sisters while he was a priest in Benevento, north of Naples.
One of the girls took her own life in 2008, aged 15.
Matarazzo was released from jail in June last year, after serving his sentence, and was found dead a month later with multiple gunshot wounds.
Now, Italian media is reporting the father of the girls is under investigation on suspicion of having allegedly hired hitmen to kill the abuser.
Two other men, Generoso Nastam and Giuseppe Massaro, are also under investigation over Matarazzo's death.
