Wan-Bissaka 'tells Crystal Palace he wants to join Manchester United'

Manchester United
have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Aaron Wan-Bissaka as the full-back 'tells Crystal Palace
he wants to be allowed dream move' this summer.
Sportsmail revealed on Monday that United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has his heart set on the Palace full-back despite seeing an initial £40million bid knocked back.
And according to the Sun
, the England Under-21 star is keen to be allowed to make the switch to Old Trafford but he has not gone as far to submit a transfer request.
United desperately need to strengthen in Wan-Bissaka's position with Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia both leaving this summer.
Ashley Young has slotted in for parts of last season but Solskjaer is keen to galvanise his squad with a young, homegrown core having already agreed a deal to sign Welsh winger Daniel James.
Despite the player's wishes, Palace are expected to stand firm on their valuation which sees Wan-Bissaka valued at closer to £60m.
Paris Saint-Germain's Thomas Meunier remains an alternative but Wan-Bissaka's versatility - he can play on the left, too - plus the fact he is already adapted to the rigors of the Premier League has him as the club's preferred option.
Solskjaer's list of targets is set to remain up to Ed Woodward to sort with the club not expected to appoint a technical director this summer.
Sportsmail
exclusively revealed on Tuesday that Woodward will continue to call the shots on the transfer policy at Manchester United
, as talk has shifted away from suggestions of a committee-style approach involving multiple former players.
The Sun report that should Wan-Bissaka get his wish to join United this summer,  Palace will look to replace him with £15m Norwich defender Max Aarons.
Aarons was voted EFL Young Player of the Year last season as Norwich stormed to win the Championship.
